Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored on your device by a website. System Anchorline uses cookies and similar storage to remember your consent choice and, only if you accept, to count visits in a basic way. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not stop you reading briefings, sending a request, or opening season notes.
Types we use
Essential. The banner records Accept or Reject in localStorage under the key systemAnchorline_cookieConsent. Without it, the banner would appear on every page load. This storage is strictly necessary to remember a choice you have already made.
Analytics. If you accept, we may set a first-party analytics cookie to understand which public pages are read (for example the briefing list versus a single season note). We do not use advertising cookies. If you reject, analytics cookies are not set.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| systemAnchorline_cookieConsent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies | Until you clear site data (treated as 12 months of respect for the choice) | System Anchorline (first party) |
| systemAnchorline_analytics | Optional visit count for public pages; set only after Accept | 6 months | System Anchorline (first party) |
How to change your mind
Clear cookies and site data for system-anchorline.click in your browser settings, then reload. The banner will appear again. You can also use the browser’s site settings to block cookies entirely; the site will still function, though we may not be able to remember a previous choice.
Third-party cookies
Pages may load typefaces from Google Fonts and photographs from Unsplash or Pexels. Those providers may receive your IP address as part of serving the file. We do not control cookies those hosts may set. Their own notices apply.
If you disable cookies
You can still request a briefing. You may see the cookie banner more often. Optional visit counts will not run.
Personal data connected to cookies is described in the privacy notice.
